Explanation of Ranks
The King; The Queen’s male mate, if she takes a stallion as a life partner.
The Queen; The ruler of the herd.
The Grand Duchess; In the scenario that the Queen takes a female mate, said mare will receive the title of "Grand Duchess".
The Duke/Duchess; The chosen heir, male or female offspring of the King and Queen, not necessarily the firstborn.
The Royal Children; The other royal foals. Addressed as Prince/Princess.
***If the King and Queen have no children with each other, but reproduce with Nobility/Commoners, the children may receive titles of Prince/Princess if deemed worthy, or possibly even Duke/Duchess.
The Count; The leads' right-hand man, the adviser.
The Countess; The leads' left hand, and the most trusted mare in the herd. Does not need to be mated to the Count. May also be chosen without a Count in power.
The Viscount; The Count/Countess’s heir, if approved by the Queen.
The Promising Youths; The foals the Count/Countess bear. Given the titles of Barons or Baronesses.
***If the Count and Countess are not a mated pair, children they have with other herd members may receive the title of "Baron/Baroness" if the King/Queen deems them worthy. Otherwise, offspring of Nobility & Commoners become common children.
The Commander; Head of all militaristic affairs.
The Infantry; The warriors, often in charge of keeping the borders safe and the herd in general.
The Spies; Just as it says.
The Charming Ladies; Other mares.
The Dashing Men; Other stallions.
The Hopefuls; Other foals. Will remain a common child until the age of 3.
The Captives; Prisoners taken by the leads.
The Disgraced; Herd members who have done something to anger the leads, lowest rank in the herd.
The Banished; Past members who have been banished due to unsavory deeds or actions that are highly disapproved by the Queen.
The Enemies; Enemy herds.
The Allies; Allied herds.
